Glastonbury Fair 1971
This was the second year of the Glastonbury ‘Festival’, and the ‘Fair’ of 1971 started on this day and lasted for five, so is the beginnings of what we generally now know/think of this event.
Performers at this year’s included Family, David Bowie, Mighty Baby, Traffic, Fairport Convention, Gong, Hawkwind, Pink Fairies, Skin Alley, The Worthy Farm Windfuckers and Melanie.

Application to the Entscheidungsproblem
On this day in 1936, Alan Turing submits ‘On Computable Numbers’ for publication, in which he sets out the theoretical basis for modern computers.
From my area of inexpertise, I continue to be fascinated by the ‘poetry’ of mathematics in the representation of its concepts, theories, and then my found explanations – this latter delivered with the patterns (and occasional colour) that come from generative TextArt:
