More from my generative TextArt sequence based on ‘literary’ lines/phrases. I may have a separate set using only two words from such lines, but pairs that speak for themselves…

I am most grateful for the empathetic reading and thoughtful review from Rupert Loydell of my collection Dark and Tender Principles. Thanks also to Tears in the Fence for posting this on their blog.

Delighted to be a part of this sequence, and you can read the other 3 of my TextArt poems on this theme as well as the preceding 4 poems from others (there are more to come) by going here: http://stridemagazine.blogspot.com/2023/09/cocaine-hippos-5-hippos-on-cocaine.html
My thanks to Rupert and for his idea: read the following for the background: https://theconversation.com/pablo-escobars-cocaine-hippos-are-a-problem-but-a-lot-of-thought-is-going-into-preventing-their-spread-203603

In many cases with this ongoing sequence (just started) it may be more apt to say Lines from Literature…
All the same, this is one of my favourite from Candy in Of Mice and Men.

Gorunya is a Cornish word meaning to ‘bring together’.
I am delighted to say that the Gorunya shop in my home town is generously showcasing my work as a local artist, and I am most grateful for this support.
There is a TextArt sequence I wrote for Gorunya on the page shown above.

National Poetry Day 2023 – I was pleased today to see Teachit English reference my previous NPD ‘Home Is’ creative writing resource as apt for this year’s theme ‘Refuge’ (though for many it’ll be the reverse; this to explore too). I posted the following on Twitter to direct anyone interested to the resource, and I will put the link after these two:
