teachit Again

The Home is is mine too – this teachit posting following from previous in my email notifications – and as a list poem it has always proved to be one of the more accessible and productive writing ideas for presenting in the classroom (in my experience).
Many of my poetry writing classroom resources are avilable free to download here: https://copycatter.blog/
From the Depths of teachit…

Surprised and pleased to see the above email notification this morning – one of my teachit poetry writing ideas as a suggestion, this from 2011.
So much that teachit promotes/sells these days (years) is much more functional and linked to curriculum dictates, which I understand given teacher needs/desires/expectations.
Being proudly old-school, my poetry resources were and still are always about helping students to write them. I think this one can still work, unless ‘blood’ references are now problematic. I did remove the incubus and succubus ideas with examples from these student resources…
The poems from this resource:

derrida and the caboose
Many, many years ago I read something about Derrida and a caboose, this latter a metaphor/symbol linking to his ideas and writing. It is a connection I have used occasionally over that time. But I cannot now find any reference to this when searching for the detail I thought existed.
Even if it doesn’t, I like the idea – however obtuse.

(a ‘promo’ I constructed for my memoir…)
concrete in the parallelogram
OMG…
As I was generating these this morning, I was listening to a compilation of folk music and The Staves song Steady started playing with the lyrics ‘Oh God oh God oh God’! Obviously, it’s the coincidence!
Mine is an exclamation of the simple and random pleasure in what is found in the progressions; theirs is lyrical innuendo…
‘Steady, steady, steady
Your steady touch our love so much, I’m sleepless
Oh God, oh God, oh God
God, I’m only human and I’m helpless
Steady, steady, steady
Your steady touch our love so much, I’m sleepless’
